Q. What size cake do I need?
A. Please look at the Wedding Cakes section where
there is a guide to the amount of portions you can
expect to get from different sized cakes.
Q. Can I have any tiers of my wedding cake made in sponge?
A. Your wedding cake can be all fruit, all sponge or a
combination of both. Any sponge tiers can be plain or
chocolate fudge cake, or other varieties of cake for
example lemon or carrot cake.
Q. Do you use a cake mix for either your wedding fruit cake or
sponge?
A. No – we never use any prepared mixes. All the
cakes are homemade using fresh ingredients and no
artificial additives or preservatives.
Q. I don't like certain ingredients in wedding cake, can some of
these be left out?
A. Yes - as the wedding fruit cakes are mixed
individually and are not prepared mixes we can add or
omit anything you do or do not like. We can also
make cakes to cater for food allergies.
Q. Does my wedding anniversary have a special meaning?
A. Yes, most people know about a 25th, 40th
or 50th anniversary, but please look at the
Anniversary Cakes section for information on other
anniversaries and their meanings.
Q. How far in advance do I need to order a wedding cake?
A. We prefer at least three months notice for ordering
a wedding cake but subject to availability we can make
cakes at short notice.
Q. Do I have to order one of the wedding cake designs from your
website?
A. Not at all - we pride ourselves on designing
unique, individual wedding cakes and can create the
cake of your dreams incorporating your colour scheme,
ideas and wishes - just call to discuss details with
no obligation.
Q. I like a wedding cake on your website but would like it a
different shape, Is this possible?
A. Yes your wedding cake can be any shape you wish;
round, square, diamond, heart, oblong or even a
combination if you wish.
Q. Can you make bride and groom figures that look like me and my
future husband?
A. Yes to a certain extent, Our figures are not
sculptures but can be made to look similar in, build,
hair/eye colour and clothes etc.
